A rotation diet has three major goals: to help you maintain your tolerance to food, identifying foods that cause you problems and helps you treating several food allergies. The rotational diet appeared for the first time in 1934 and it was developed by Dr. Herbert J. Rinkel. This type of diet is ideal for people who:

• Are diagnosed chemically as being susceptible
• Have several food sensitiveness
• Health-conscious individuals
A rotation diet is more flexible and thus, more enjoyable than other diets. You will need to eat in a rational and controlled way, so that your body has time to recover from the effects of a food before eating the food again.
You may have food allergies to something you eat regularly, but you don’t know how to recognize the symptoms. Typical allergic reactions to food can be respiratory, cardiovascular, cerebral, genitourinary, skin and systemic. The main symptoms are dry mouth, sensitivity to odors, abnormal heart rhythms, diarrhea, gain in weight, menstrual cramps, fluid retention in any part of body, depression, amnesia, leg aches, fatigue and many others. 2. Don’t eat the same food item more often than every fourth day. For example, if you want to eat rice, you can consume it on whichever day of the week.
3. Food families should be rotated because foods from the same family can cause serious allergies.
4. Different foods within the same food family may be rotated every other day. It means that foods in the same family is eaten two days apart.
5. Try to substitute other foods rather than move foods.
6. Be patient, your own best friend and helper. Thus, you have to be kind with yourself.
